Global Network

Main content start
The global NatCap community

NatCap’s global hub is at Stanford University. In addition to Stanford, other core institutional members are the Stockholm Resilience Centre and the Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics (at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Core research and implementing members are the University of Minnesota’s NatCap TEEMs, the Gund Institute for Environment at the University of Vermont, Natural Capital Insights, The Nature Conservancy, and World Wildlife Fund. International Financial Institution collaborators are the Asian Development Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank.

New members will be welcomed by invitation. Open calls may be held for applying to specific membership categories (i.e., institutional, research, implementing, collaborating, individual), with varying levels of commitment and benefits. For more information about NatCap, please contact us at: naturalcapitalalliance@stanford.edu.

Our work is inspired by, created with, and implemented through our broader global network of more than 150 research organizations and more than 350 practitioner organizations in the public and private sectors.

Network Collaborators (Partial List)

In addition to working with our core collaborators, we work directly with governments, corporations, universities, and other non-profit organizations to co-lead "use cases," integrate ecosystem services approaches into major natural resource decisions, and improve the state of biodiversity and human well-being by motivating greater and more cost-effective investments in both.
